Research

A study led by Vladimir Spiegelman, MD., PhD in the Department of Dermatology, may soon significantly broaden the focus of scientists (and hundreds of software programmers) studying the degradation of RNA. It shifts the current train of thought that 3'UTR is exclusively responsible for miRNA-dependent degradation of mRNAs. A preview of the study is available in Molecular Cell.
